Bupa hospital arrangements

Bupa has agreements with most private hospitals and day surgeries in Australia. This means you will benefit from certainty about the hospital costs associated with the treatment you receive. At most hospitals with agreements, you will have no out-of-pocket expenses for your hospital treatment (except for any excess or co-payment that may apply to your level of cover). However, there may be a ‘gap’ associated to some doctors services, for which you will be asked to give informed consent.

  • translation services, including reviewing bills and medical bookings
  • telephone messages passed on to your family back home
  • pre-departure medical information on the countries you are visiting. We’ll advise you on the health risks of that country and give you tips on how to stay healthy while you’re travelling. Just call the number on the back of your membership card.
